intaji internship

structure of the programme

intaji is delivered over a 12 month period made up of three distinct stages:

stage 1

10 weeks of foundation training

This stage provides background information that allows a trainee to understand what they are doing, think for themselves and problem solve within a technological environment. It provides structured theoretical and practical fundamentals of the principles and practice of television and broadcasting.

stage 2

18 weeks on the job general training across all areas

In this stage, trainees will experience a broad cross section of all facets of television and broadcasting providing them with a "taste" of where they might like to specialise in the future. The areas in which trainees will gain broad skills includes: transimission, media asset management, digital archiving, camera work, audio and sound, lighting and editing, vision mixing and special effects. During this stage, there will be dedicated programme mentors across each discipline to ensure trainees maximise their learning experience.

stage 3

24 weeks of specialised training in a specific discipline of your choice

To complete the programme, trainees will be given the option to select a specialised area of craft in which they would like to continue gaining skills. Mentors will be put in place to work one-on-one with trainees to impart their international knowledge to ensure by the completion of this stage, trainees have the necessary skills to be employed in this discipline in the future.

Upon completion of the three stages, each trainee will have a week to recap their learning and to complete a project which has been assigned to them.
