This core skills introductory course aims to develop knowledge of the tasks required to ensure the successful co-ordination of a production, including monitoring costs. Course members will gain the core skills required for production co-ordination.

• An introduction to the key tasks involved in co-ordinating including setting up single or multi-camera location shooting
• An interactive scheduling exercise
• Line by line budget breakdown
• Budgeting and scheduling session from a current practitioner
• A session on contracting artists, rights clearances and music copyright delivered by local experts
• An introduction to the key tasks involved in co-ordinating a studio based programme plus a visit to a local studio facility
• Post production routes, including cost implications and an update on new technology including useful web information pages
• Deliverables
• Completion of a budgeting and scheduling project
