This is intermediate level training in the techniques of single camera working in real-life situations with a scripted piece and an actor / presenter. The aims of this course is to develop skills and experience in operating current digital cameras, lighting and sound equipment on location & increase the confidence to put your knowledge into practice and ability to make a useful contribution to the programme making process.
who it's for:
Operators who needs to refresh and develop their practical camera skills to a more advanced level & delegates who have already attended Location Camera Skills 1.
Previous experience of shooting on location at a professional level with PSC cameras would be an advantage if you are to fully benefit from this course.
Each day will be divided into knowledge, practical exercises, and review to fully understand how to operate a PSC type camera including:
- advanced techniques for news, magazine and documentary programmes
- major shoots on location in real-life situations using current equipment with an actor/ presenter
- all shot material goes to make a series of linked or stand alone camera exercises covering all aspects of location shooting including lighting a church interior with a limited kit of lamps, and the use of camera tracking on a 'dolly'
- review your finished and edited work
By the end of the course delegates will have:

- the confidence to put their knowledge into practice and ability to make a useful contribution to the programme making process
