
Angus Finney is an international film industry specialist.
His work includes risk management for Octopus Investments, a £1.5bn City of London fund manager; MBA-level teaching at The Judge Business School, Cambridge University and Cass Business School, City University, London, where he is completing a PhD on “Value Chain Restructuring in the Global Film Industry” and Course Director training duties for the Film Distributors Association.
Finney is the manager of Europe’s only annual Production Finance Market, hosted by Film London and now in its fifth year. His fourth and most recent book, “The International Film Business – A Market Guide Beyond Hollywood” (Routledge), was published in May 2010 and a second edition will be published in 2013. Previous titles include The State of European Cinema (1996) and The Egos Have Landed: The Rise and Fall of Palace Pictures (1996).
Finney has personally trained more than 300 film producers and entertainment executives since 2005 and works in Denmark, Abu Dhabi, South Africa and the UK.
Previously, Finney was Managing Director of Renaissance Films from 1999 to 2005, where he oversaw international sales, distribution and finance.
