His areas of expertise are:

• Technical and operational camera training
• Editing training on Avid, Final Cut Pro and Premiere among other systems
• Lighting skills for location and studios
• Training for studio & location sound 
• Writing, storytelling and video journalism. 
• Management of television studio technical facilities and crew and training in studio technology and best practice.

As a practitioner
Kevin has worked in the BBC in a number of roles, working in the Studio Engineering, Lighting and Studio Management departments on many shows including: 'Absolutely Fabulous', 'Eastenders', 'Goodness Gracious Me', 'Performance'  and also with BBC Sport and ‘Childrens'.
He has also filmed and edited on many independent documentaries, in locations as widespread as the Arctic and the Middle East. He has recently worked on, The Iceberg Cowboy, a film about iceberg harvesting, A Master Class with Harold Pinter, and filming travelogues around some of the most attractive parts of the UK for the Tourist Board.

As a trainer
Kevin trains in the UK and internationally for the BBC, BBC World Service and World Service Trust, most recently in Brasil, the U.S. and Bangladesh. He also works with independent production companies and on several community initiatives including The Lyric Hammersmith 'Start' project, working with vulnerable young people, and with Crisis and other homeless organisations.
