Oliver Acker

Oliver is a traditional trained animator with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the areas of Character Design, Storyboarding and Character Animation for Feature Animation productions, TV-Series and Commercials.


Oliver worked as Animation Artist on blockbusters such as ‘Hercules’ and ‘Tarzan’ at the Walt Disney Feature Animation studio in Paris, France to continue his work as a director and supervisor for Feature and TV productions in Germany. After some freelancing Oliver moved to Asia where he taught animation students in Singapore to then manage and train all new hires at the Lucasfilm Animation studio in Singapore.  His passion for Japan brought him to Tokyo, where he worked for a few years on projects such as the Winnie Pooh CG-TV Series for Disney and for the opening credits of ‘Streetfighter IV’, the famous fighting game by Capcom.  

In his eighteen years of working in this industry, he has also mastered in mentoring, training and teaching Life Drawing and Character Animation to animation students and animation professionals.
